"The telltale signs of dictatorship and fascism abound in this city on the Potomac. Some of the signs—concrete barricades and 8-foot walls around monuments—are apparent. Others, like video cameras, although more subtle, are every bit as ubiquitous. For those who have never visited Washington, DC, or who traveled here during better times, the city that is suppose to represent the aspirations of the American people is now a hollow shell of its former self." writes Wayne Madsen, http://www.onlinejournal.com/Special_Reports/123003Madsen/123003madsen.html.

Although I have never been to our nation's capitol, it is a poignant portrayal of a nation under siege from within by men and women who no longer believe in the Constitution and Bill of Rights. As Gore Vidal states so clearly that this nation is under the boot heel of a despotic thinking and acting administration. The clearest symbol of this nation, the capitol, is shown to be in "lock down" mode with the heritage of our country's past being hidden, and hence forgotten, from the people of America.
